Customers of The Carwash in Oss can now again rely on the cleaning products from Spectro for their car wash. The car wash and the Osse cleaning product manufacturer have entered into a renewed partnership. This focuses on achieving optimal washing results.
The collaboration between Spectro and The Carwash is not new. Until the autumn of 2023, Spectro was even the preferred supplier of cleaning products for the car wash. Although The Carwash owner Tom Muskens was very satisfied with the collaboration, he ended it at the time. He explains why.
“In September, an older man drove at full speed through our laundry room. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the material damage was enormous. Since the old machine was impossible to repair, we had a new machine built. At the same time, we came into contact with a manufacturer of cleaning agents and protein-based water treatment products. His story and promises sounded very interesting.”
Small problems
In practice, however, the transition did not go well. According to Muskens, after a while, some minor problems arose. At the beginning of our collaboration, our groundwater was tested; it should have been treated. In practice, however, it turned out to be too difficult to handle. That also had an effect on the washing result, which fell short of expectations.
“At The Carwash, we set the bar high,” said Muskens. “The result has to be good. When we saw that we could no longer guarantee our high quality, we pulled together. Just at that moment, we received a call from Spectro.”
Washing quality
On the phone was Laurens Metternich, CEO of Spectro. He had been to The Carwash and expressed his concerns about the washing quality. “We know Tom as someone who always strives for the very best,” said Metternich. “But we didn’t see that in the washing room anymore. Since we have always worked well together, I thought it would be good to discuss whether we could resume the collaboration.”
Working together
Muskens also thought that was a good idea. Shortly thereafter, the Osse entrepreneurs reached an agreement: Spectro would immediately become the official supplier of cleaning products for The Carwash. “It feels good to be back,” says Muskens. “We see that our new machine now really cleans well with the cleaning products from Spectro. In hindsight, it might have been better not to leave at all, but that’s how things sometimes go. From now on, we’re looking forward again. With a reliable partner ‘right around the corner’, who also takes action with great attention to sustainability and quality.”
Metternich: “We are also pleased with the renewed cooperation. Of course, because we are once again able to provide our resources and thereby increase the washing quality. But also because The Carwash is the ideal partner for us to test new resources. We like to do business together, preferably with other Osse companies. The combination of The Carwash-Spectro is a wonderful example of this.”
