Blog: Very annoying, skin irritation problems in autumn and winter

We can almost set the clock ticking: after the summer, when it starts to get a little colder, there is always one phone call: has something changed in the recipe of your product? Because my colleague suddenly has irritated skin from washing or disinfecting their hands. In this blog, we would like to explain a little more about how skin irritation occurs and what you can do about it.

1. How does this skin irritation develop?

The skin is our largest organ and that shows how important our skin is. Under normal circumstances, our skin is in balance, but during changing weather conditions this balance can be disturbed. Especially the cold weather combined with heat indoors causes faster evaporation of the moisture from the skin and the closing of the blood vessels in the skin. This results in an irritated and/or red skin.

2. Are the products from Spectro safe?

Our cosmetic products such as hand and foam soaps It is dermatologically approved. That means that the entire formulation and all the raw materials used have been evaluated by a dermatologist for safe use. In addition, production takes place in the most hygienic conditions (GMP), and most of our cosmetic products are hypoallergenic. Among other things, the safety of our hand sanitizers has been tested by the CTGB and FOD. Furthermore, we use only cosmetic ingredients and also produce these products under hygienic conditions. Our hand sanitizers also contain emollients to prevent dehydration.

3. What can you do about it?

First of all, awareness is important. One person has more sensitive skin than another person. Try to find out for yourself whether you suffer from it every year, for example. Furthermore, taking care of your skin is very important if you are sensitive to these changing conditions. For example, use a moisturizer regularly. Hand & Body Lotion. This ensures that the moisture returns to the skin and allows for faster healing of the skin. In extreme cases, a visit to a dermatologist, for example, may be recommended to check if there is a skin condition present.
