2020 was a turbulent year: the COVID-19 outbreak had a global impact and led to an immense increase in demand for disinfectant products. With a wide range of products, Spectro has been contributing to this for over a year, for example by prioritizing sales to essential professions. Naturally, as demand for these products increased, it did not take long before a shortage of products arose.
A new warehouse could therefore not be avoided: a collaboration with Construction company Erp-Dollevoet that it will provide 1750 square meters of space and a height of 9.5 meters. Construction has now officially begun, and Laurens, Alissa and Quintus Metternich look forward to further expanding the innovative character of Spectro.
“The plans for a new warehouse were already in place in 2019, but due to the course of 2020 everything really accelerated. Hygiene is more important than ever, and fortunately that awareness is now there. With Spectro, we are trying to respond to this as quickly as possible, to be able to provide everyone with the right disinfectant products.”
New Spectro warehouse soon operational
There is no need to wait long for the new warehouse: it is expected to be fully operational as early as April. And that’s not all; the company is also in talks with architects to build the Spectro Technology Center. In the future, even more innovative steps will be taken towards Next Generation Cleaning Solutions.
