Products of the Sociëteit Metternich
Johannus Metternich started a production company for disinfectant products in 1963: Producten Sociëteit Metternich in Soest. He could not have known at the time that 55 years later the third generation would take over the helm of the company he had founded. Soap seems to run in the family.
Spectro
Clemens Metternich initially split off and started Spectro in Oss. Due to the death of his father Johannus, the remains of Metternich Chemie (as the company was now called) ended up back at Spectro.
Acquisition
As part of a multi-year plan, children Laurens (2014) and Quintus (2016) already took ownership of the company. Now, as the final phase of the multi-year plan, Alissa Metternich has also acquired shares and the company has thus fully transitioned to the next generation. Alissa, Laurens and Quintus also form the management team. Parents Clemens and Trix will take on an advisory role within Spectro from mid-2019 onwards.
