Dermatological seal of approval for Spectro hand soaps

At Spectro, we are always looking for opportunities to make our products even better. Like our improved hand sanitizers, which recently won the Dermatest seal of approval. Here’s our R&D manager Peter Maessen.

“What is good today may be better tomorrow”, Peter begins. “This time we have taken a closer look at our hand soaps. These are regular hand soaps that you find in, for example, restrooms or laundry rooms. They are excellent soaps for cleaning your hands. And the nice thing is: thanks to an improved composition of the preservatives, the soap is now even gentler on your skin.”

Strict legislation

Hand sanitizers must comply with strict legislation and regulations for cosmetics. For example, they must have an ingredient declaration, be listed on the CPNP (Cosmetic Product Notification Portal), and be evaluated by an external body. safety assessor. Peter says: “That reviewer looks at everything. Raw materials, origin, production process, frequency of use, you name it. Before the product hits the market, every detail is recorded in a report.”

“We are always looking for opportunities to make our products even better and more user-friendly”

Dermatest certification mark

What is not mandatory are dermatological tests. These assess products based on factors such as skin tolerance and effectiveness. However, we chose to have our improved hand sanitizers undergo dermatological testing at the renowned German institute Dermatest. “The testing panel was unanimous,” said Peter. “We achieved the classification” very good We are, of course, very proud of that.”

Always looking for opportunities

Little will change for the final users of the hand sanitizers. The Dermatest seal will soon be included on the packaging of Spectro. And of course, we have updated the ingredient declaration to reflect the new composition. “A beautiful evolution of a product that was already top-notch,” Peter summarizes. “This improvement fits perfectly with what we stand for at Spectro. We are always looking for opportunities to make our products even better and more user-friendly.”
