Johannus Metternich started a manufacturing company for disinfectants in 1963. Who would have thought that 55 years later the third generation would take over the reins of a company that Johannus started? The whole family Metternich; Soap is running through our veins.
Spectro
Clemens Metternich initially split off from Metternich Chemie (the later name of the company) and started Spectro in Oss, The Netherlands. Metternich Chemie would later be incorporated in Spectro after the passing of his father Johannus. Acquisition As part of a multiannual plan, Laurens and Quintus took over ownership and management in 2014 (Laurens) and 2016 (Quintus). During this last phase of the plan, Alissa Metternich has also decided to take part in the ownership of Spectro. Spectro has now fully passed on to the next generation and Alissa, Laurens and Quintus form the new management board of Spectro. Parents Clemens and Trix will stay on as advisors from midway 2019.

Spectro’s slogan is ‘Next Generation Cleaning Solutions’. This is a nod to the development of the regeneration of the management board and staff within Spectro, but most of all, a statement to the future of the market. Better ingredients, smarter formulas, more efficient processes…every day at Spectro we work on developing the cleaning concepts of the future. We do not only develop the best cleaning products, but also explore ways of how we can change the cleaning market with innovative concepts.
